A Festive Winter Woodland at Pottery Barn x Tablelove by Pinky
Tablelove by Pinky and Pottery Barn collaborate to bring you a Winter Woodland-themed tablescape in Estancia Mall, Capitol Commons.
Christmas is definitely the time for get-togethers, a lot of dining, and entertaining. Likewise, it’s the peak season for tablescaping! Since one of TableLove by Pinky’s goals is to give our amazing followers more design inspos this holiday season, we collaborated with Pottery Barn and did a fabulous tablescape at their bigger, better, refreshed branch at Estancia Mall, Capitol Commons.

Tablescaping Essentials
Pottery Barn, a home and lifestyle brand from the US, has been in the Philippines for about 7 years already. A top source for good quality, handcrafted furniture, and accessories, many people get their pieces from this shop.
Interestingly enough, during the holiday season, their cozy, homey-looking stores have been transformed into Christmas wonderlands—filled with dazzling and unique ornaments and decors. It is a little haven for those who would like to spruce up their homes and create tablescapes, myself included!
Before we go into the details of my arrangement, note that a sturdy, well-crafted dining table is essential for a successful tablescape. For this setup, we used Pottery Barn’s beautifully crafted Madera Dining Table and Bench. The dusky stained wood in this collection reminds me of those used in log cabins—the kind you see in picture-perfect Christmas villages.
And it was perfect for our tablescape theme: A Winter Woodland.

Building a Winter Woodland
To set the mood, we started off by hanging an installation of fresh pine branches—a dramatic arrangement that looks and smells just like the holidays! With the aroma of fresh pine engulfing the area, we cannot help but feel as if we were transported to a snowy forest.
As for the centerpiece, we made sure that it was as lush and as dramatic as our hanging topiary. Thus, we again used pine branches that were pieced together to form mini-Christmas trees. We then decorated these with fairy lights to add whimsy and cheer. And for the final touch to the centerpiece, we scattered wooden vines and red ribbons to add complexity and fluidity to the tablescape. Everything was set on a bed of metallic silver fabric—reminiscent of snow.

Using Pottery Barn’s rustic-looking Mercury Collection, we dressed up the table with silver balls, reindeer ornaments, votive holders. What’s more, we used antique star ornaments to perfectly top off our mini trees. We even chose these beautiful mercury glass candle holders because they added a touch of class and elegance.
I love how Pottery Barn has a lot of real and faux candle options as well. For our festive setup, we used their battery-operated Flameless Candles, which look like the real thing and last long—minus the fire hazard! Together with their Flicker Candles, these are every tablescaper’s holy grail.
As for the dinner setup, we used the simple, but beautifully-textured Larkin Dinner and Salad Plates to provide a solid base for the very playful-looking Santa Mugs—which for me, are major conversation pieces! What’s more, we used French Striped Table Napkins to add a graphic pattern to the overall look.

A Very Festive Setup
To make any dinner memorable, the best tip is to personalize! Thus, to finish off this Christmas tablescape, we placed name cards on these cute Holiday Tree Ceramic Placecard Holders. And of course, we added menu cards to build anticipation for what’s to come!
Now imagine this tablescape beside a fireplace, flanked by a huge glittering tree piled with presents. And most importantly, with the people you love the most—truly a Winter Woodland Christmas dream! Indeed, I had a ton of fun creating this tablescape. Plus, this reminded me of why I started doing tablescapes—because it brings people together to create fond memories over meals shared.
