What Keeps You Going: Musings on Finding a Love That Lasts
Amid the negativity from the pandemic, this love story showcases how finding the right person will help you look forward to better days.
Given all the negative things that surround us, everyone deserves something or someone that makes them look forward to better days.
From something as simple as being excited for what breakfast will be the next morning to something thrilling, like spending the weekend with your special someone, these play a big role in helping us press on with our everyday lives—no matter how difficult it may seem.

Be With Someone who Keeps You Excited About What’s to Come
Aina and Niko have been a perfect example of a couple that persisted—despite all the noise and anxiety brought about by the pandemic.
The greatest factor that drove them to continue planning the celebration amid the pandemic was their hope to see their family and friends together in witnessing their beautiful union. And of course, their dream of finally being able to begin their lives as husband and wife.
Throughout the planning process, they wanted to make sure that it’ll be a worthwhile experience for all the invited guests. Everything about the wedding was carefully and thoughtfully curated by the couple to guarantee that everyone enjoyed themselves—while diligently following the health and safety protocols mandated by the government.
That day was one for the books, indeed. It was a mix of beautiful emotions and was altogether solemn, lovely, unforgettable, and perfect.

After the Wedding: Love, Actually
After the big day and when all the feelings have settled, you’ll be left with wonderful memories that you will fondly look back to every now and then. Those same memories are also what you will be clinging on to during hurdles that life will give you and your married life along the way.
For Aina and Niko, the thought of finally being able to see each other and listen to how each other’s day went—together, every day—helped them breeze through their days with a smile on their faces. After all, they’ve realized that going home to your best friend even after a long and exhausting day will always be the best feeling.
And I’m truly happy for them.

The Art of Letting Go, Living in the Moment, and Enjoying the Little Things
As an events planner, I’ve seen my fair share of weddings and couples. And while no two weddings are the same, the feelings during and after the wedding, as well as the lessons every couple will take with them… those will always be the same. Here are some of those learnings:
Let go of your attachment to what you think should happen or should have happened. As you look out for better days, continue to be present and live each moment.
If things do not go your way, focus, and continue to think of everything else that is going right and well.
Weddings are not just about big celebrations, fancy outfits, good food, and after-parties that no one remembers. Instead, weddings are about getting married to the love of your life. Likewise, marriage is all about braving your everyday lives with your significant other.
Cheers to more weddings this 2022!
