Everybody basically went nuts last July upon the announcement of Shake Shack coming in Manila. Today, SSI Group, the company partnering with the famous burger and hotdog stand in New York, announced that the first Shake Shack in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia will be located at Central Square BGC on the corner of C1 Park and 5th Avenue.
Just as the construction kicks-off, the brand’s commitment to supporting local purveyors, producers, and artists begins as well.
Two murals by local mural artist Jappy Agoncillo will be set-up in the facade of the store which will appear neon in the daytime, and glowing at night.
According to Jappy Agoncillo, the first mural that will be located on 5th avenue used real-life monuments and buildings are inspired by some of the major cities that make up Metro Manila.
While the second mural, to be located on C1 Park, is inspired by Manila’s distinct rooftop scenery.
