Among her many accomplishments—some of which include being the Director of Sales & Marketing at the eco-luxury wellness resort The Farm at San Benito, the Director of Global Marketing & Brand Development of CG Hospitality Group, as well as the founder of Lunas Living Oils Philippines—Jennifer Sanvictores would first define herself as a strong woman and a mother.
Do note that she is still proud of what she’s accomplished. After all, what she’s done has not been an easy feat, plus, she’s a woman on top of being a single parent. Instead, she simply believes that who she is and how she chooses to live a life of selflessness was what attracted these accomplishments to her.
A Passion For Wellness And Healing
It was important for Jennifer to find her identity outside of achievements and accolades. She took inspiration from empowered and selfless women who would give their time and energy to better the community. For Jennifer, her passion was in healing, but she had to find it for herself first.
“There is a point of exhaustion which has happened to me many times over, and often, I found that this is due to self-neglect,” the working parent shares. “What I’ve realized is to take time to practice self-love, self-acceptance, self-awareness in order to replenish your energies and vitality. Self-care is not selfish; it makes you a happier, kinder, and more positive person.”
While she maintains that progress is not linear, her philosophy will always pull her back and this has helped her build not just resilience, but also a life that’s fit for her. “It’s not easy being a single parent, juggling work, and motherhood,” she says but is happy to have support at home. “I am mighty proud of my son, Tristan, who just turned 15 years old, for understanding the weight of my responsibilities at work, what it entails, and the sacrifices that go with it.”
She describes him further as extremely patient, understanding, and responsible, “I feel very blessed and lucky to have him at my side to support me regardless of the physical distance.”
Business With A Heart
When it comes to beauty, Jennifer is also keen on practicing what she preaches. “Mothers are selfless human beings that put others first before themselves,” she shares, but she insists that fellow moms shouldn’t fall into the same self-neglect that she experienced. For her routine, she likes to keep it simple and close to home. “I use Lunas Living Oils as well as The Farm’s very own retail wellness collection The Farm Essentials Aromatherapy Oils for my skincare routine.” She recommends The Farm’s Virgin Coconut Oil-based skincare products, their Colon Cleanse, and their medically-supervised Detoxification Program.
Having worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, Jennifer’s word is as good as gold. She specializes in luxury brand marketing in the field of integrative medicine, holistic wellness, and hospitality management. Not only is she the co-founder of the Spa Association of the Philippines in 2004, but she also helped launch hilot as a locally and internationally recognized practice in addition to her current positions at The Farm at San Benito as well as the CG Hospitality Group.
Her passion project, Lunas Living Oils Philippines, Inc., is described as a “micro-business with a heart”—one that pays homage to ancient Philippine healing practices and a plant’s life force. In wellness, aromatherapy aligns with most of what she’s passionate about—allowing people to reduce stress, improve mood, and live overall better lives, having been introduced to the wonders of what we already have. She strives to educate and introduce more ethical regimens that make use of the country’s richness in natural resources.
“Through Lunas, I feel I have given back in my own way as more and more people gain trust and support Philippine-made products,” she explains.
The Art Of Giving Back
Just as she had planned, all her endeavors fell into place: they’re all in the service of giving back. It’s no surprise too that it’s what came in handy when the pandemic loomed over the world.
“Resilience involves a great deal of fast learning and ability to quickly adapt to constantly changing situations, as well as transcend every adversity day by day,” she shares. The pandemic, whoever you may be, affects everyone. “I face these challenges with fortitude by thinking of the organization, including the families of our employees whose job and financial security is at stake during this unprecedented crisis.”
She stepped up, the way most leaders should, but often fail to do. “Being the leader in our organization means empowering every team member with the same level of resilience and agility that I need to get things done. Motivating everyone involved to contribute collectively to the survival of The Farm immediately after its re-opening last May 16, 2020, was an important factor in sustaining our success.”
And a success it truly was; The Farm reached its highest revenue on record despite the pandemic and has attended to people’s well-being during a time where achieving optimum health and strengthened immunity was needed most.
At the end of a long day, Jennifer is happy to look back at a body of work that’s true to who she is. “To be of service to others, enrich other people’s lives whether they’re family or work associates, and to contribute positively to the community and country is fulfilling,” she says. “In my own way, I was able to achieve this through my involvement at The Farm at San Benito. It has given me my purpose in life.”
