“Anywhere, for as long as it is with you.”

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, many of us are in an extra romantic kind of mood. However, just when you thought you have seen it all in terms of grand gestures, think again.

A groundbreaking milestone, AirAsia had the first ever-wedding ceremony inside a cruising plane here in the Philippines last February 5, 2021. Aboard AirAsia flight Z2 225, the wedding ceremony took place on an actual commercial flight from Manila going to Caticlan.
The best part? No one had an idea of the wedding that was going to happen.

A few minutes after the “fasten seat belt sign” was turned off, the crew only had approximately less than 5 minutes to turn the aircraft into a fairytale scene that Gideon Hermosa envisioned for the gorgeous couple. After which, the bride took off the jacket that she wore to be able to purposely hide her wedding gown from the rest of the people inside the flight.
The wedding ceremony then started after a flight attendant of AirAsia handed over the bridal bouquet from the overhead bin to Mica, the bride.

Unfamiliar but friendly faces began to beam as they watched the blooming bride slowly walk her way on the aisle, although a different one from tradition, towards the love of her life, Topy.
The couple then exchanged their promise of love and commitment to each other while the plane was literally voyaging in the air!

How else can we maintain the momentum of this impressive display of affection? Follow through with the glorious sunset of Boracay, of course. With a glorious destination, one can no longer ask for anything more. Talk about being #blessed!
Keep going?

Top everything all off by sharing your first meal as a married couple with your closest family and friends at the stunning infinity deck of The Lind overlooking the powdery white sand and sparkling blue waters of Boracay, just like the newlyweds who really took their promise of love to the skies.

Kidding and grandeur aside, let us all go back to remembering that though bravado in showing how much we love a person will always be incredible, it’s usually still the little things that make you love someone big for a lifetime.
