From Their Wedding to Their First Child’s Baptism: Rodjun Cruz and Dianne Medina
I have been blessed to have covered so many celebrity weddings. Blessed more that they don’t only remain my clients, but lifelong friends as well. Such is what happened with my relationship with couple Rodjun Cruz and Dianne Medina. I worked with them for their December 21, 2019 wedding at the Manila Cathedral. And since then, have maintained a very good relationship with them to the point that they got me now as one of the godparents of their first child Joaquin. The baptism happened exactly one year later, December 21, 2020, at the Shrine of the St. Paul the Apostle. I am truly happy that they make Niceprint part of their every milestone. From their picturesque prenuptial shoot in Turkey to their grand wedding, their maternity shoot and gender reveal shoots even during quarantine earlier this year, and recently, the infant shoot and the intimate baptismal party. Indeed, I have come full circle with their family, just like all the other celebrity couples I have handled over the last 10 years.
At the intimate baptismal reception, I had the chance to have a good chat with Rodjun and Dianne and sort of reminisced about their wedding exactly one year ago.
Char: RJ and Dianne, looking back to one year ago, what was your fondest memory of your wedding day last December 21, 2019?
Rodjun and Dianne: Maybe the fact that we can just be around our family and friends without wearing masks or shields. We can just exchange hugs and kisses. And the thought of celebrating our wedding or holidays without any limits.

Char: As you’re celebrating your first anniversary this day, what changed since one year ago when you got married?
Rodjun and Dianne: So grateful and blessed because we got our answered prayer, our baby Joaquin.

Char: How has the baby changed your life?
Dianne: I love being a mom. Joaquin gave more meaning and purpose to my life. I see the world from a different perspective. It’s much scarier and more dangerous now, given our situation. Yet, at the same time, you get to see things through the eyes of an innocent child, with so much hope, positivity, inspiration, amazement. But on a lighter side, here are some surprising ways how life changed when I became a mother—I don’t have any “me time” anymore. I can shower in 5 minutes because I need to breastfeed him. I can reach objects using my feet while breastfeeding, haha! I can multi-task and finish things in an instant—no sleep no problem. A healthier diet. I can wake up without an alarm clock.
Char: What does the future hold for your family? Plans for more babies?
Dianne: Yes, I want a baby girl—maybe after 2-3 years. I am not sure what the future holds at the moment since everything is really hazy. But I know as long as we got each other and we have Jesus Christ as our core and foundation—everything will be okay. ️️️️
