From a heartfelt proposal to an adventure-filled prenuptial shoot in the breathtaking views of Mt. Pinatubo, Alfonso Hortaleza and Angela Muhlach finally tied the knot at The Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Cubao.

Alfonso proposed to Angela last January 31, 2021, and after more than a year of planning, the wedding took place last March 1, 2022. It couldn’t have happened at a more opportune moment, too, as Alert Level 1 was implemented in Metro Manila on that same day—kicking the couple’s new chapter in life off to a good start.

A Gown Fit For A Queen

How does a fairytale wedding begin without the bride’s stunning gown? Angela said “I do” to her first and last boyfriend—while wearing an exquisite Michael Cinco gown. The Dubai-based couturier is known for his absolutely stunning creations, so it didn’t come as a surprise that Angela’s gown was ornate, dreamy, and befitting of the queen she was during her wedding.

With an off-shoulder and low neckline, the gown had dainty floral appliques and crystals—all the way down to its lace skirt. A beautiful tiara adorned her head, completing the blushing bride’s contemporary yet timeless look.

Light and Neutral Colors

Carefully choosing the colors for your big day is important. After all, it helps achieve the overall look and vibe you are going for. Alfonso and Angelo wanted to go for a light and spring-like feel, so they opted for neutral colors such as cream and light gray. We might not have spring here, but the fresh and airy colors in Alfonso and Angela’s wedding definitely made the magical occasion bloom.

The Dreamy Reception

To cap off their beautiful ceremony, the couple held an ethereal reception at Shangri-La at The Fort, Manila. Styled by Randy Lazaro, the venue was decorated to look like a dream. The ceiling filled with white flowers to create a cloud-like illusion, while the whole venue brimmed in white, with gold accents sparkling throughout. What’s more, crystal accents adorned the white stage and tall, glass candelabras lighted up the tables at every turn.

It was truly a romantic dream like no other. Not to mention, it was also the perfect place to groove in, just like how the couple did during their first dance!

Wedding Highlights

On Instagram, Angela described this moment to be “the BEST night of our lives.” Truly, it was one for the books, as the couple got to celebrate this royal moment of their lives with the people closest to their hearts.

It was a perfect night to celebrate love and Teena Barretto and her team made sure of that. But more than appearances, it was a night filled with wonderful memories for the couple and their families.
